Portage College offers over 30 certificate and diploma programs in the areas of Business, Health and Wellness, Human Services, Learning and Employment Foundations, Native Arts and Culture, and University Studies. Through University Studies, students may complete up to the first 2 years of a university degree program at the College and then transfer to any university with which a transfer agreement exists to complete the remaining credits.

The College also provides courses and programs via distance education through correspondence and/or online learning options. Through distance education, the College offers the Emergency Medical Technician Certificate, Emergency Medical Technologist Paramedic Diploma, Learning and Employment Foundations: adult-upgrading courses, Power Engineering, and Women's Shelter Crisis Worker Certificate.
