About the Role
FROG LAKE EDUCATION AUTHORITY is currently accepting applications for (1) Protection Security Officers – (1) Dayshift @ TTES
Responsibilities
Provide a safe and secure environment for all students, staff and visitors
Control access within and out of the education facilities
Report or investigate irregularities
Respond to emergencies within Frog Lake Education Buildings
Patrol assigned areas
Provide Covid-19 screening at schools to staff and visitors
Reporting to the Protection Security Supervisor
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(1) year experience doing security
Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Experience with observe and report
Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to write detailed incident reports & daily summary reports
Maintain a code of ethics and oath of confidentiality
Computer literacy
Use security cameras and video surveillance
Ability to work independently or on a team Salary will be determined on experience and qualifications

Requirements
Valid Alberta Security License is preferred but experience will be considered
Reliable Transportation with a Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Pass a Criminal Record Check
Pass a Child Welfare Record Check (CYIM)
Standard First Aid is an asset
