About the Role

FROG LAKE FIRST NATIONS is currently accepting applications for an Income Support Director.

The Income Support Director is delegated the administrative authority, responsibilities and accountability necessary to carry out the assigned duties of the Income Support Program for Frog Lake First Nations. Primary responsibilities include planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Income Support Program in accordance to federal and provincial standards, guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate the needs and assessments of the Income Support Program and clientele
Assist in the development, administering and coordinating of department policies and procedures
Review program policies and procedures and make recommendation on changes to the administration
Participate in community planning and programming to address the needs of the community and program clientele
Ability to develop reports and submit accordingly and in a timely manner
Maintain a good working relationship with other programs in Frog Lake First Nations
Review and address departmental complaints and grievances from personnel or clientele
Maintain tracking reports to ensure quality assurance of documentation for assigned caseload

Requirements

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelors Degree in Social Work

  • Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a supervisory capacity

  • Must have knowledge of community resources

  • Possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel

  • Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation

  • Must be able to work independently, maintain confidentiality, be physically fit and able to perform work related tasks

  • In good standing with the Frog Lake First Nations membership

  • The ability to speak Cree will be an asset

  • Must be a Band Member of Frog Lake First Nations
